Parent & Guardian Guide
Last updated: March 31, 2026
This guide explains how AllGiggs works for parents and guardians, your responsibilities, and the tools available to keep your child safe.
1. Getting Started
Your child creates a gigger account and receives a 6-character invite code. Download AllGiggs, sign up as a Parent, and enter the code to link your accounts. You will then complete COPPA consent and configure availability settings before your child can participate in the marketplace.
2. Your Responsibilities
By linking your account and providing consent, you acknowledge that:
- You are the legal parent or guardian of the linked child.
- You are responsible for supervising your child's use of the Platform to the extent you deem appropriate.
- You understand your child will be traveling to third-party locations to perform tasks and that inherent risks exist in any in-person interaction.
- You are responsible for ensuring your child's gig activities comply with applicable local, state, and federal labor laws, including any restrictions on the type of work minors may perform and hours they may work.
- You are responsible for any tax obligations arising from your child's earnings.
3. What You Control
- Job Approval: For children under 13, you must approve every individual job before your child can proceed. For children 13–18, you can optionally enable approval for all gigs.
- Work Hours: Set which days and time windows your child can work.
- Distance Limit: Set the maximum distance from home for jobs (0.5 to 5 miles). The platform enforces a hard maximum of 5 miles that cannot be exceeded.
- Message Monitoring: All messages between your child and customers are visible to you in the Parent Dashboard. Your child is informed that messages are monitored.
- Earnings & Banking: You connect and control the Stripe bank account where your child's earnings are deposited. You have full visibility into all transactions, payouts, and fee breakdowns.
- Account Control: You can revoke consent and deactivate your child's marketplace access at any time.
4. Safety Features
- Pre-Job Phone Calls: Before every gig, your child (or you on their behalf) calls the customer to confirm identity, pay, location, and job details.
- Arrival Alerts: Opt-in geofence notifications alert you when your child arrives at the job location.
- Age Tiers: The system automatically restricts which jobs your child can see based on their age: Junior (8–11) sees only light tasks within 0.5 miles at max $20; Standard (12–14) up to $40 within 1 mile; Advanced (15–18) up to $75 within 2 miles.
- Real-Time Notifications: You receive notifications for every application, approval request, message, job start, job completion, payment, and review.
- Review System: Customers are rated and reviewed, giving you visibility into who is hiring your child.
- Address Privacy: Your child never sees a customer's exact address until their application is accepted. Before acceptance, only a neighborhood-level approximation is shown (e.g. "Elm Street area").
- ID Verified Neighbors: Every customer must verify their identity with a government-issued photo ID and selfie match before they can post a gig. Verification is powered by Stripe Identity — allgiggs never sees or stores ID documents.
5. Payments
During onboarding, you connect a bank account via Stripe's secure onboarding process. Your child's earnings (after the 10% platform fee) are deposited to this account. The customer pays exactly the posted budget — the 10% fee is deducted from the gigger's earnings. For cash gigs, the fee is charged to your saved Stripe payment method upon job completion. You have full visibility into every transaction, fee deduction, and payout in the Parent Dashboard.
6. What AllGiggs Does Not Do
- AllGiggs does not employ your child. Your child is not an employee, agent, or contractor of AllGiggs.
- AllGiggs does not supervise gigs in progress. Physical supervision is the responsibility of the parent/guardian.
- AllGiggs does not perform background checks on customers (this feature is planned for a future release).
- AllGiggs does not guarantee the safety of any in-person interaction between users.
- AllGiggs does not provide insurance for gig-related activities.
7. Revoking Consent & Data Deletion
You may revoke consent at any time by disabling your child's account through the Parent Dashboard or by emailing privacy@allgiggs.com. Upon revocation, your child's marketplace access will be immediately disabled, and all personal information will be deleted within 30 days (except anonymized transaction records required for financial compliance).
